Unformatted text preview: Objective [1.1]-Problems Be able to relate the ideas of speed(rate) and acceleration to any business relationship (function). Instructions: For each functional relationship the units are indicated in parentheses. Form the unit of the rate for that relationship. Make up an English phrase using the relationship that indicates acceleration and deceleration of the relationship (don’t actually use those two words). There may be several ways to say this. Note: quantities that are ratios(percentages) don’t have a unit! Example: Relationship: “ There is a relationship between income ($) and demand for iphones (iphones) ” Unit of the rate Iphones/dollar Acceleration Phrase At high prices Iphone demand rate increases with increasing price Deceleration Phrase At low prices Iphone demand rate decreases with increasing price I wonder????
