Pei-yu Hung Hung 1 Mr. Dykeman US International History March 24 2009 The Pride of the Soldiers During the World War I, a lot of soldiers died on the battlefield, but they sacrificed themselves to protect their countries and revealed their superior prides. In the Lost Battalion , the American soldiers did not afraid of death. They fought intensely to the German army even though these American soldiers only had inadequate equipment and low supplies. In the film, the American soldiers did not give up when they faced the strong German army and they did not surrender under some dangerous conditions. These American soldiers exhibited their prides of winning the battle and also recognized the value of their own. During the battle with Germany, the U.S soldiers used their will to persist in their position and they fought to the German army with all their strengths. When one of the American soldiers was caught by the German force, he did not reveal his fear.
