Title: The Extra Benefits of Extracurriculars Intro There is no doubt that extracurriculars activities lead to a tremendous amount of success which many people are are unaware about. Besides the pleasant joy that arises from participating in these activities, there are actually many benefits that they reap. To be precise, Extracurriculars is best described as a club, team or activity a person does in the addition to a normal course of studying. As a student who participates in over seven extracurricular activities a year, it has taught me many key skills that my peers lack. It has taught me to be both ‘book smart’ and ‘street smart’. It teaches students at a young age the power of respect, leadership, responsibility, confidence, and most importantly, a strong balance in life. Even though I was often chastised by my parents and peers for taking part in many activities, it wasn't long until I realized that I was one of the students who excelled greatly in class because of the clubs and teams I have joined. Therefore, students should participate in extracurricular activities as it benefits a person's mental health, increases students social skills and teaches them how to manage their time wisely.
