He received his B.Sc. degree in Physics from the American University of Beirut, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Columbia University. Dr. Manassah was a Member of the Insti- tute for Advanced Study. His current research interests are in theoretical and computational quantum and nonlinear optics, and in photonics.
