Beverly Anderson Mr. Kibbee Shakespeare: From Stage to Screen 1 October 2010 Essay Reflection Writing my first legitimate college paper was not what I had envisioned. It was similar to writing in high school in many ways, yet also very different. All the techniques and helpful strategies I used in previous years still applied to my writing now. Yet, the actual process of writing the paper was not what I was used to. Writing a rough draft and then handing it in for revisions was new. This helped me develop my thesis into a more concise and abstract theme, but I did end up having to completely rewrite my paper. In the end, this was beneficial because my final draft seemed much stronger than the first, but I will admit that it was tedious and frustrating to open up a new blank document on my computer to write a revised essay. There were several things that I liked about writing this paper. I liked writing about a book and a movie. It gave my paper a different twist. Usually, I write papers on one topic and rarely get the chance to integrate two works.
