Beverly Anderson Opening Things are not always as they appear. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, my name is Beverly Anderson. And I, along with my co-council, are here today on behalf of the emperor. Emperor, please stand up. Members of the jury, this is the Emperor. He was wrongfully accused of public nudity—if convinced, he could potentially lose the kingdom that has been in his family for generations. (This paragraph is iffy—needs work) Before we can show you why the emperor is innocent of this accusation, you must fist understand the background of this case. On April 18 th , two town weavers promised the Emperor a band new suit. In fact, this suit was to be invisible to any person who was unfit to wear such a garment. You will hear that one of the weavers even said only “stupid” people could not see the clothes. You will also hear that when the Emperor received this invisible suit a few days later, he told the weavers that he could see the clothes, when in actuality, he could not. The emperor himself will tell you
