Moskovitz, Tyler Communications 103 March 23, 2008 Outside Communication Event The outside communication event I saw was Hillary Clinton’s speech at San Diego State University. Hillary came to San Diego State, because she wanted to get her views on major issues known. This is a communications event, because Hillary wanted to communicate her views on the issues to the students at San Diego State. It was communicative in nature, because everything Hillary did from the way she spoke, to her hair style, to what she said was important, because everything is communication. Hillary spoke very well at her rally. She seemed to be using many slang words. She often used words like awesome and sick. Now normally these words don’t really seem like slang, but for a presidential candidate she might as well have said hella or wicked. Hillary didn’t use her southern accent in San Diego. Many people believe this is because San Diegans don’t have a southern accent. Hillary just wants to be one of the locals, so in her mind a southern accent
