Philosophy 10/13/08 Skepticism about induction Why is it ok to assume the future because of things in the past? Just because socks are on the car starts doesn’t mean that the car will always start when socks are on. Experience gives a sense of justification The future will be largely like the past, because history repeats itself . Vague - There are degrees of largeness though. But we can be pretty certain about the future from past events.
