Debugging circuits: You will be building circuits in the labs which will not work as you wish. Tips Complete the truth table for the function Apply all combinations to see if ckt responds OK For erroneous output trace back to input to find which gate/connection is the problem Fix the problem. There are two types of faults we can simulate with our digital logic simulator: Stuck at 0 (SA0) * Stuck at 1 (SA1) For an AND gate: Input SA0 = Output SA0 (Input SA1 still allows output to change value - albeit incorrect) For an OR gate: Input SA1 = Output SA1 (Input SA0 still allows output to change value - albeit incorrect) There are many other faults in the lab: loose wires, burned out LED, wire broken in insulation, bad IC’s Open Debug.cct and discover which inputs/outputs are stuck, and what values they’re stuck at.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
