Fruit Fly Reports Each student of Biology 101 will have to submit a fruit fly report based on the findings of the experiment they have conducted throughout the semester. The following guidelines must be followed to receive full credit on the written portion of the assignment, worth 40 % of the entire grade for the fruit fly experiment. 1. All reports must be typed using 12 point font. 2. There must be 1 inch margins all around. 3. The report must include all of the sections of a normal lab report: introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, AND a reference section. 4. Introduction : Must include background information on fruit flies as found in your lab book, pages 109-127. You may also use your text book. Hypothesis - you must end your introduction with a hypothesis. Make a statement on your prediction of the outcome of the traits of the F2 generation of your cross. 5. Materials and Methods - List materials (ALL materials) and carefully explain how you performed each step of the experiment. This section needs to be detailed.
