In the planning pyramid the teacher does provide practice because he/she gives the students a chance to work with each other. They are able to help each other out by setting up a buddy system amongst themselves. There is progress monitoring by the teacher as well. There are learning logs, vocabulary flash, unit tests and weekly quizzes for the students. The teacher gives these to them because she wants to know if her students are learning and understanding the classroom curriculum at an adequate level. Not all students are on the same level but they do need to understand the minimum requirements for the grade level they are in. The planning pyramid is a very unique thing to follow because not only does it help the teacher but it also helps the students....
