Hip Hop Film/Video Review Paper Deadline: Thurs., April 23 - Worth 20 Points Format  (2 points) 1. Three pages, double-spaced, numbered, spelling and grammar checked, and stapled.  No more than 3/4-inch  margins on all sides. 2.  Make sure that you stay within the page length of this assignment.  No more and no less than three pages.  3. Create a title for your paper that reflects the overall theme and focus of your paper. Create a title cover page  (4th sheet) that has this title, your name, and the course information.  You do not have to repeat all of this  information on your first page.  Simply start the first paragraph of your essay on page 1.   4.   When quoting or paraphrasing the class readings, use parenthetical referencing (e.g., Willis, 1994, 56).  No  Bibliography, Works Cited, or References page is necessary for this assignment. 1. This is a review/analysis paper of a hip hop film or video documentary that should have  three major  components : a.  Facts  (3 points)  –  tell the reader the plot/story/content of the video;  include the pertinent information  as to the director, major actors, and year released.  This should be no more than one paragraph Summarize and be succinct, so that the majority of the paper will consist of following components: b. Issues Analysis  (8 points)  –  This is the bulk of the paper.  Structure your analysis of the video by   choosing one of the vocabulary words that are appropriate for your video’s issues.   Underline the   vocabulary terms the first time you use them in the paper so that it is clear which ones you have chosen   for your analysis .   Through your choice of vocabulary terms, enumerate the issues and overall purpose of   the video  (what was the filmmaker telling the viewer? Why is the video important?    Discuss the  interrelationship of the issues presented by the film.  I want to see that you understand the growing
