On Friday, January 29 th , we will have Exam 1, which covers Knight, Chapters 1-4 and my lectures 1-9. Exam 1 will have assigned seating . Exam 1 is closed-book, but you may bring with you one page of notes on a 8½x11” sheet of paper with your name on it and should turn it in with your exam. Bring a Scantron sheet and a scientific calculator with good batteries. Exam 1 will have a multiple-choice section and a free-response section based on lecture example problems and end-of-chapter homework problems in Knight.
