Chamberlain College of NursingNR439 PPE WorksheetProblem/PICOT/Evidence Search (PPE) WorksheetName: Rhiannon RozellDate:3/19/20CriteriaPatient satisfaction is the clinical priority I chose. I believe this is the most im-portant because in my department we have low patient satisfaction scores from3pm-11pm. There must be a reason as to why it is from that time frame, mygoal is to figure out what is happening during those hours that decreases thescores. I know that historically the volume is high during that time, multiplephysicians and nurses start their day between those hours also. The hospitalsends out a survey with broad areas that break down to specifics, how the ar-rival process went, nursing care, physician care, testing, how patients family/vis-itors are treated, business office interaction, delays, pain and safety. All areas ofthis survey are resulted in a break down of 7 am to 3 pm, 3 pm to 11pm and11pm to 7 am. The results of the most recent survey show that between 3pmand 11pm patient satisfaction scores during this time are <50% most of themless than 30% satisfaction with the areas questioned. Leader rounding and in-tentional nurse rounding may combat this problem, so that real time issues canbe addressed instead of later when a survey is returned. However, what are thechallenges to rounding? Is there enough time and resources for the primarynurse and nurse leader to do this?
