Michael Omiyale Experiment #2 ECE 405L Introduction: We had to work with a sine wave, a square wave, and a rectangular wave. The waveform was generated and analyzed in the time domain and frequency domain (continuous series and discrete form). We had to do prelab calculations which measurements in the lab were then compared to. We also created the On-Off-Keyed periodically gated waveform with a mixer. Objective: One objective of this lab is to investigate the mathematical and actual properties of on-off keyed periodically gated waveforms (the simplest digital signal) using common electronic communications laboratory equipment. Another objective of this lab is to learn how to use the laboratory equipment to modulate different signals. The third objective of this lab was to learn how to generate AM waveform by combining signals from HP3312 (carrier) and AG33120A (message). Theories:
