“Setting the Table” What characteristics make these essays expository? This essay that I read shows facts and evidence to support the topic. The facts were clearly used to support a concept in “Setting the Table”. Identify the type of organization each author used to develop the essay: topic, time order, space order, or informative process. The type of organization that the author used in this essay is the informative process. Expository essay that has informative process is a “how to” essay. This essay was written in step-by-step process, which is giving information in order and describing how to set the table. Why do you think each author chose that type of organization for his or her essay?
