Two tips for creating academic documents not mentioned in the resources would be word count and spell checker. The word count helps you with the amount of words that the paper requires you to have. It will guarantee that you will have the correct amount of words you need. In order to have a good academic paper your grammar and punition should be perfect. Not anyone can spell perfectly, the spell checker helps you by pointing out any errors that you have made. The guidelines I believe are most important for formatting an academic paper is page breaking. Page breaking is a way to keep information on different pages. This helps the reader understand the information the writer is writing about. This could be a great way to have the attention of the audience

Unformatted text preview: reading your paper. When having the audience focused on your paper, the message in your writing can be interesting to them. The other guidelines I believe that would benefit a writer are headers and footers. The reason why I think this could benefit a writer is so the reader is not confused of what portion of the information the reader is reading. The guideline that I believe is less important to use in formatting a business document is header and footnotes. A business document does not require that information because as long as the information is correct the people are not too concerned with it. As for an academic paper it requires information of the footnotes because the instructors need to know where the material comes from....
