a. 1. What are the causes of stress in Michael's or Jennifer's life? How is stress affecting Michael's or Jennifer's health? In the case of Jennifer she is suffering from anxiety. All of her symptoms point to anxiety. Anxiety is a emotional state, brought on by emotions. In the case of Jennifer she has had a miscarriages (eight months ago), pressure to start a family from the in-laws, constant worry about work (constantly making mistakes), and she also recently lost her mother. General anxiety comes from constant worrying, and feeling overwhelmed. The effects of this can be light- headiness, and feelings of dread and foreboding; and excessive worrying. Jennifer noted that she is finding herself making more mistakes at work, and unable to keep up with housework. There also may be a Psychological Factor involved In Michael’s case I believe he is mildly suffering from an adjustment disorder. This can be from him moving and living on his own, or from the finalizing of his divorce. I believe he is also suffering from anxiety. This is leading to the physical pains. b. 2. How are these stressors impacting Michael's or Jennifer's self- concept and self-esteem? Jennifer’s self concept of herself is the organizer. She feels so many
