Summarize the effects of one type of sexual dysfunction that can affect both men and women. What are some factors that may cause this type of dysfunction? What treatments may help individuals who experience this type of dysfunction? Sexual Arousal disorders affect both men, and women. Due to the fact men, and women have body parts; men have “male erectile disorder,” and “female sexual arousal disorder.” One could define a male erectile dysfunction a consistent challenge in achieving an erection or maintaining an erection long enough to penetrate or ejaculate. There are many causes of male erectile disorder. The most common one is age. Research have shown that difficulty keep an erection increases with age. Starting as young as 18-24, there is a 6% report of difficulty. This number rises to about 20% for 55-59 year old men. Other causes may include, but no be limited to fatigue, alcohol, anxiety to perform, drugs, depression, low self-esteem, and problems in the relationship.
