I have been over weight for approximately 20 years. When I was in third grade I weighed 115 pounds. I distinctly remember going to the doctor, getting on the scale, the nurse saying 115 pounds, and my mother say “Oh my Bonita. That’s a lot. I weighed a little more than 115 pounds.” I remember feeling sad, and out of control. I was nine, overweight, and did not have the proper support system to help me become a healthier kid, and essentially lose weight. Over the years I have reached a whopping 215 pounds. I have also, seen better days weighing in 170 pounds. I currently weigh in at 200 pounds, and I am striving to be 170 again. I know how to eat healthy, and know what exercise I need to do for maximum results. In this paper I will map out a thirty day workout plan. I will include my expected goals, challenges that are expected, and previous outcomes to work out. According to United State of Agriculture (2010), "The weight you entered is above the healthy range for your height. This may increase your risk for health problems. Some people who are overweight should consider weight loss” (My Pyramid plan, para 1 ). My pyramid.gov led me to several other websites. The first one was The U.S. Department of health and human services (2006-2008) website. I was able to identify my Body Mass index (BMI) as 28. The U.S. Department of health and human services (2006-2008) website, further goes to state that if a person has a BMI between 25- 30 that they are still healthy; however, potential problems can occur in the future if weight continues to be gained. I carry a lot of my weight in my stomach, and my thighs. Due to three pregnancies I have lost most of the elasticy in my abdominal area leaving it saggy with extra skin. I have tried numerous of exercises and nothing has worked for the tightening in my abdominal area. I know in order to make some progress with tightening my abs, and losing weight a low calorie and high cardio workout is recommended. fat reducing diet and an aerobic strength training program. Lowering your body fat will make it easier to see the tight abs you have. A diet high in protein and complex carbohydrates will fuel your exercises, help build muscle and keep your appetite satisfied longer. Lean proteins are chicken breasts, turkey, fish and any cut labeled loin. Combine your lean protein on a plate with a complex carbohydrate like whole grain pastas.
