Customer Adoption Forces Service Adoption Forces ISKASH*TAA SMALL BUSINESS PROJECT BUSINESS PLAN Executive Summary Since May 2003, hundreds of Somali Bantu and other refugees from Africa have settled in Tucson with the dream of starting a new life very different from the persecution they faced in Africa. Part of this dream is finding economic freedom through income generation projects. The non profit Iskash*taa has formed a Small Business Project called …..(for now I will call it the ISKASH*TAA SMALL BUSINESS PROJECT until we decide on a name that we will use for this small business project) that is made up of refugees. The purpose of this business plan is to create awareness for this Small Business Project’s (ISKASH*TAA SMALL BUSINESS PROJECT) selection of fruits, vegetables and value added food products and raise capital to launch this income generation project. THE TEAM The coordinating team is highly motivated, energetic, ambitious and ready to work assiduously to launch this income generation project. ISKASH*TAA SMALL BUSINESS PROJECT is lead by a committed team of 4 individuals. Barbara Eiswerth is the Director of Iskash*taa and will be overseeing the process to launch this income generation project. Kadeon Thomas is an MBA student at the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. He is providing technical assistance with the business plan. (We will need at least two more volunteers to assist in this process; preferably we should find volunteers who have experience with the fruits and making the value added products listed in this business plan). THE PRODUCTS ( I would like to sit down with two knowledgeable individuals on the products and ask them what the benefit (better taste, better quality, sweeter, etc) of our product is? In other words, why are our products different than the others?) Fruits: Pink Grapefruit Major Benefits: 1.
