How is the enthalpy of vaporization measured? (3 pts) To measure the enthalpy of vaporization, we need to first measure the temperature and pressure with our LabPro sytem. We can then form a graph of Ln(VP) [units: atm] and 1/T [units: K^-1]. From the slope of graph, we are able to figure out the enthalpy of vaporization because we know the formula: Slope = -delta H/R, where R is the ideal gas constant, 8.3145J/molK. For each of these molecules, a portion of the enthalpy of vaporization is ascribed to dispersion forces (all molecules have dispersion forces) and a polar component. Which molecule provides the dispersion forces component for itself and all the others and what assumption is made in order to use the value for one compound to account for the dispersion forces in all the others?
