(9) Synthesis and Rxns of Alkenes Discussion We have been approached with some questions regarding how to structure the discussion for lab #8. Here it is: Please be aware that the discussion for lab #8 should address the following issues. In fact, you may decide to divide the discussion into the following sections in addressing the following topics: 1. How does dehydration result in alkene synthesis and does this reaction follow an E1 or E2 mechanism? 2. How does the distillation of the product as it forms improve the yield of this reaction? 3.
