Unformatted text preview: Stat 201A HW5: Due Wednesday, November 3, 2010 (in class) 1. In Problem 2 of HW4, we analyze a data set using a regular 2 9- 5 design. We found that A was significant. Since DF is aliased with A , the authors of the article concluded that DF was significant assuming that A was negligible. One question of interest is whether their assumption was reasonable. To study this, we modify column A by switching the levels in runs 2, 7, 10, 15. Specifically, we change the levels of A from- 1 to 1 for runs 2 and 15 and from 1 to- 1 for runs 7 and 10. Here is the modified design with the same response [see Asat2.dat].
