For each imaging modality we examine we want to know: 1. What are the fundamental physics that underpin the modality? 2. What is the input, what is the output (how do we make an image)? 3. What is the basic cascade of subsystems (what is the hardware diagram)? 4. What determines the contrast between regions in the system? 5. What limits/determines the resolution/PSF of a system in the modality (what parameters)? 6. What is the noise source for the system (what parameters)? 7. What are the sampling requirements for the system? 8. What parameters can be manipulated to effect tradeoffs of resolution, noise and contrast? 9. What bioeffects limit the safe use of the system? 10. What are the main artifacts peculiar to the system and how can they be avoided/manipulated?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
