It’s reasonable for Americans to oppose the mosque because of widespread hatred of the U.S. in the Muslim world and terrorism by extremists groups. __ 5. It would be better for peace-loving Muslims and Americans if the mosque were built elsewhere. ___6. Hostile protests of the mosque are unwise since they increase hatred of the U.S. throughout the Muslim world. ___7. Americans shouldn’t be intimidated in resisting the mosque because of hatred or anger of Muslims. ___8. A Muslim “inter-faith community center”—including a mosque—centrally located in New York City would advance the prestige of the Muslim faith in the U.S. and throughout the world. II. Arizona’s Immigration Law ___8. Citizens of Mexico cannot be for blamed trying to immigrate to the U.S. to escape poverty. ___9. Because so many illegals cross into the U.S. there, Arizona needs strong laws to fight it.
