1 GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY School of Electrical and Computer Engineering ECE 3710 Circuits and Electronics Assignment #2 Solve the attached circuits according to the following guidelines. You may submit in groups of two or three, but please upload individual copies of the files to T-Square. Circuits A and B —Solve for the power dissipated by each component in both circuits, using any Chapter 2 theorems you wish. Check the answers by writing the nodal analysis or mesh analysis equations, and plugging in voltages or currents from your original solution. If there are discrepancies, you must identify and fix your errors. Circuits C through F, and H —Find the Thevenin and Norton equivalents for at least three of these five circuits and state the load resistance one would place between the two terminals ( a and b ) to achieve maximum power transfer. Additional solutions will receive extra credit. Circuit G
