Kasey Remillard Deanna Dixon English 101 September 22, 2009 Man’s Best Friend or Not? When you see a dog, do you become afraid and run away or are you drawn to its cute face? It seems that many people today are afraid of dogs. This is probably because of the idea pictures or videos portray about dogs. Pictures or videos usually have one of two views of dogs, either as man’s best friend or as an enemy. The two photographs, “Man’s Best Friend” and “Man’s Worst Enemy,” each address a different view of dogs. They each portray a particular view about dogs. “Man’s Best Friend” shows that dogs are loving and care for their owners. “Man’s Worst Enemy” has the opposite effect, showing that dogs are evil, scary and attack their owners. Although “Man’s Best Friend” and “Man’s Worst Enemy” are both pictures of a dog, they each portray a different view on the domestic animal. They portray these different ideas by the setting, color, and pathos of each photograph. One of the first things you probably notice when looking at these two pictures is the
