Some Like it Hot Some Like it Hot , is a comedy that was produced in 1959. This movie had many film techniques that helped tell the story. The movie had many different camera shot angles. One example was when Joe, Jerry, and the band first got to Florida there was many wide angle camera shots. This was to help show the landscape and set the mood of how nice and calm Florida was, away from all the crime that went on before. Diegetic and non-diegetic are the elements that help tell the story. Some non- diegetic examples are the credits in the beginning and end, and also music playing at different times to help the mood. An example is when Joe is rushing to beat Sugar Kane to the yacht. The music is fast and upbeat that helps the mood. Some diegetic elements in, Some Like it Hot are sirens, gunshots, car streaking noises, music played by band, and train noises. Another film element is parallel editing, this is when it shows two things going on at once, going back and forth from one to the other. An example from the movie
