Advantage: custody battles. They get to spend a lot of time with their children. Some people won’t hire women in case they get pregnant. Sometimes women have to be both caretaker and breadwinner. Economic burden upon women. Men are better able to invest in labor market than women. 2.How does breadwinner role benefit/hurt men? Women are getting artificially held down from careers. Men=opposite. Major benefit for men=economic power. Rise higher and makes more money. Money gives you control over your life. The breadwinner role has a lot of pressure. For women, there was a 10- 20% decrease in call backs if they were president of PTA. 3.What are the advantages of dual arrangement?
