The topic of genetic testing is very touchy. I can honestly say that I have not given that much thought to it until now. After reading the article, I believe that in theory it is a great thing. What I mean by this is that if we have the power to stop someone from having a terrible, debilitating disease that will greatly compromise their quality of life then we should absolutely do so. If there is a way that I could take away a gene that would be passed to my children, in order for them to have a better life, I would do it without question. I do not believe that I would be so quick to abort a child that was already conceived. I

Even then I don't know that I would able to say that this baby shouldn't have a chance. Who am I to say that this child shouldn't be born? I absolutely think that genetic testing will affect the evolution of humans. Who’s to say where we will stop on our quest for “perfection”? If parents don’t want their children to have a particular trait, they can modify it out of the gene selection. Hmm, don’t know if we should have that much power over science- how will it backfire on us?...
