Evolution is the basis of biology for a reason. Evolution is formulated on the changes populations  go through over generations. Biology exists on the ideal that we can test and conclude how organisms  interact and change to deal with their environment. It is about understanding organisms to make  conclusions and predictions for the future and from the past. Biology deals with ecosystems, species, and  genetics; all of which are explained through evolution.
