Start with a proposition statement. Simple statement or explaination of your objective. In other words. ..it is a summary statement of purpose. (It is a inner target to direct your study). THE HOOK (Introduction) Purposes of the Introduction To capture their ATTENTION. To gain their INTEREST. To state your main PRINCIPLES (concisely) or PURPOSE. Practical Reminders. ..first of all prayer! 4. The beginning should be BRIEF (=>5min), CLEAR, and RELATED (TO MAIN PURPOSE) to the rest of the lesson. 5. Some methods for beginning are the DIRECT APPROACH (ACTS 16:31), ASK A QUESTION, a BRIEF ILLUSTRATION, a VISUAL AID/OBJECT LESSON OR GROUP PARTICIPATION. Your own testimony, current event(s), startling statement (Acts 17:22-23), humor, short story, or maybe us a dramatic expression. THE BOOK-LOOK (Body of the Lesson)
