Classical conditioning (C.C): process of associating two stimuli e.g. lightning thunder Operant Condintiong (O.C.): process of associating a response and its consequence. E.g. lever delivery of candy bar Observational learning: learning from experiences Depends on your purpose and perspective Could be changes in behavior Could be changes in potential for behavior Could be electrochemical/ brain changes An enduring change and a way an organism responds based to its experience Foundation of intelligent behavior Result of experience Inferred based on change in behavior as a result of previous experience Biological bases of learning (Hebbian learning) At a neurobiological level Learning is stored or created by changes to the connections between neurons The more often neurons fire together the more likely they will fire together in the future Donald Hebbian Learning in Neurons
