Rubella Vaccine / Meruvax II Live virus vaccine INDICATIONS: non-immune woman of child-bearing age Non immune: titer of 1:8 or enzyme immunoassay/EIA level of < 0.8 DOSE: 0.5 ml SubQ; only reconstitute w/diluent supplied SIDE EFFECTS: •transient, benign arthralgia or rash •fever •malaise • n/v •thrombocytopenia •anaphylaxis •Stevens Johnson’s syndrome •elevated temp
