Unformatted text preview: VM WARE: About Americas Field Marketing: Field Marketing plays a critical role in the sales process, collaborating with our direct and channel sales force, marketing and services teams to sell VMware solutions to various segments in the marketplace. Field Marketing is challenged to understand sales needs and support the sales process by driving customer awareness, lead generation and sales enablement tools. Field Marketing Managers use a number of marketing channels to achieve these goals including social media, collateral development, customer references, face to face events, online programs and product and pricing sales tools. Field marketing managers collaborate with all parts of the Marketing and Sales organization including Corporate, Alliance and Product marketing teams and Direct, Partner and Service sales teams. Responsibilities: An intern will have ownership over a specific project in Field Marketing that has practical impact on VMware’s sales goals. Some examples of intern projects in Field Marketing include: · Develop a social media plan to support sales process and marketing campaigns · Write content for blogs, contextual ads, and social media to reinforce corporate and product messages and promote field activities · Define, write and deploy email marketing communications and sales pricing and packaging tools · Analyze lead generation reports and determine best performing campaigns Requirements: If you are a Junior or Senior marketing student and have a strong interest in technology and enterprise software, then you should strongly consider career opportunities in field marketing at VMware.
