Creating a Cultural of Professional Engagement Abstract: This study examines the role of senior management in improving an organization structure that results into employee satisfaction and achieving organization’s long-term vision – “to be cited by employees, lay leaders, and other professionals as one of the great places to work.” This study identifies the current work culture in a non-profit organization by taking surveys from all employees. To determine what drives employee’s performance, senior management had to understand their employee’s perceptions and what employees think about organization they work for. This study shows how to bring the change in culture that would result into motivation, increased performance, and commitment of all employees toward the organization. Summary and Integration at my work place: Any organization's achievement is dependent upon its most critical asset: its employees. UJA-Federation of New York is a non-profit organization and it has spent many years on a journey of improving its work culture. This effort has been critical in enabling it to compete for top talent in the Jewish nonprofit community and to retain its best employees.
