8 “Intelligent Design” Intelligent Design is the idea that phenomena that evolution cannot (yet) explain are best explained by the divine action of a higher power, or God. Intelligent Design is NOT SCIENCE , it is by definition the ABSENCE of science. “Intelligent Design” and/or creationism should be taught in religion classes , not offered up as scientific alternatives to evolution – THEY ARE NOT!
