A Few Perspectives September 2, 2010 Class 2: Sept ember 2, 2010 An Artists Rendition of the Galaxies Expanding Our Milky Way Neighborhood Our Little Space-Ship travelling at 70,000 MPH The Earth Approximately 6 Billion People Various Species Approximately 196 Countries Currently Approximately 6,800 Distinct Languages The United States One Nation of 196 What Conclusions Can we Draw from these I mages? Our Societal Problems are Earth Based: Meaning they are our own Compared to the large scale of all existence it appears that our Societal Problems seem to be insignificant: After all its just one little planet that were talking about The area that needs to be managed and improved is defined for us. I t is not endless abstraction. The Earth is divided into Administrative Regions denoting areas of I n that case if our social issues are so minute compared to the great origin of things then why are they so difficult to solve? Why does everything appear so immense, sustained and confusing when it comes to the problems that we face? What is the origin of these social issues?
