Sam Barotz 5/22/07 BAD 302 Assignment 4 1) When most people think of stress many do not realize that there are two parts. They think of the negative aspect and rarely look at the positive side of stress. The break out principle explains how stress can be used to make work more productive but also at the same time if stress becomes too strong it will become detrimental to ones work. Efficiency increases when stress increases.” Studies show that using relaxation methods, this will “counteract” the negative effects stress can cause. Relaxation causes chemicals in the brain to be released and people end up having “sudden” creative responses. There are four main steps to the breakout principle. These steps show that once ones stress level has gone too high, the productivity will go down. It is important for a person to take the necessary steps to make sure they are using stress in a positive manner. Once a person can find the right level of stress, it becomes productive.
