INTRODUCTION Incident at Morales, the movie raises many issues regarding ethical responsibilities of engineers. This paper only discusses on the ethical issue of companies that go offshore outsourcing. Because these companies dont respect any ethical code in building and disposing wastes in the local country. OFFSHORE OURSOURCING AND POLLUTION Incident at Morales starts with the image of the main character sitting in front of a foreign court waiting for meeting somebody. The story becomes clear toward the end of the movie. Phaust is the manufacture of Old Striper, a paint remover. Recently, Phaust learns that its competitor, Chemitoil, is plans to introduce a new paint remover. To remain competitive, Phaust introduces a new product. To increase cost efficiency as their mother company in French cuts off 20% budget, Phaust decides to build a new plan in Mexico, in which they dont have many restrictions...
