PART A: Question 4. Have you ever noticed the ways that two containers with the same amount of shaving gel have very different appearances? Find one clearly directed toward a male audience and one clearly directed toward a female audience. Look at the images here. Compare and contrast the products and the messages their packaging gives. What differences do you observe in the subtle ways the containers define an audience or enhance a specific audience’s comfort with the product? Women’s Shave Gel o The color of the gel inside the bottle is pink which is the color of femininity. Women might see pink and think that it is pretty. Women like pretty things and like to look pretty. o The appearance of the container has a fancy font combined with a picture of an aloe drop or water drop to make you think of moisture. It is important to most women that their skin stays silky and moisturized. o The name of the product Skintimate has the word intimate in it which can make one think of having someone touch there legs while being intimate… this product will ensure soft silky smooth legs if you use it to shave with.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
