3. Measurements                                                                                              GOALS: To take measurements in centimeters and inches. To convert between units of length. To read liquid volumes. Introduction: This lab exercise is designed to teach you how to make measurements. Procedure: Obtain the following equipment and supplies: Supplies From Home Print from BlackBoard 2 flat rectangular objects (credit cards, index cards, etc.) Water or other liquid Paper Ruler Part 1: Length 1. Obtain an inch and centimeter ruler by opening the “ruler” file and print the ruler on a standard size sheet of paper *81/2 x 11 inches. 2. Use the inch ruler to determine the length three different objects in inches. Find three objects in your house that are not longer than the ruler. Record this value in the data table. 3.
