Exercise 15-3: Test Your Leadership Style In taking the questionnaire it determined that I am a Leader. In being a leader it states that my idea of fulfilling work is to motivate and guide co-workers to achieve their best and to reach common goals in their work by functioning in harmony. Also that I am the sort of person who simply enjoys watching people grow and develop. I am common ly described as patient and encouraging in my dealings with people and a determined self-starter in my own motivation. I have a natural ability for inspiring top performances, there’s usually little turnover among my employees, and staff relations are harmonious. At times, however, I may be too soft on people or overly patient when their performance lags. Where people are concerned, I may be too quick to let emotions get in the way of business judgments. Overall, I am the visionary type, not the day-to-day grinder. With having being deemed a leader I would have to say that the supervisory responsibility that I would work best with would have to be the Improving Employee Relations. This is more of a supporting leadership style. Supporting
