1 REFLECTIVE ESSAY ABOUT CONSUMER BEHAVIOR To begin with, we live in a society that is governed by very different consumer habits from those of years ago. Products last less time, consumers are more demanding, the supply is almost unlimited, and large companies like Amazon are constantly springing up to put everything we want within our reach. All of this has led to an exponential increase in consumption that brings with its great opportunities and challenges, for which it will be necessary to know these consumers well, their behaviour and purchase motivations. For all these reasons, I consider that this course has been very enlightening and relevant to know the current consumer trends, the influence of culture and other aspects on consumers and how to solve problems at a business level. I am convinced that it will be of great help to me in the future. Going into more detail in the course, two very relevant aspects that I would like to highlight are on one hand, the difference between Need and Want, related to Maslow's hierarchy of needs; and on the other hand, the power of publicity and ethics in marketing. Next, I will develop each of them.
