Unformatted text preview: MA 511: Linear Algebra and its Applications Summer 2010 Instructor Javier Zuniga email: jzuniga@math.purdue.edu Office: Math 626 phone: (765) 494-1423 Office hours Wednesdays and Fridays 10:45am to 11:45am and by appointment Book Linear Algebra and its Applications, Fourth Edition by Gilbert Strang Website http://www.math.purdue.edu/ ~ jzuniga/U10/U10.html Course Grade Homework accounts for 25% of your grade. It is due twice a week according to the schedule. Late homework will receive comments but will not be graded. There will be two midterms taken as evening exams each counting for 25% of your grade. Tentative dates are June 28th and July 14th. There will be a review session on the day of the midterm during regular lecture time. The final accounts for 25% of your grade and will not be cumulative meaning that it will only be based on the material studied after the second midterm. Class will be canceled on July 5th, July 30th, and August 2nd. Always check the course website for updates on homework information, schedule for classes, etc....
