Unformatted text preview: Andrew Kandalaft October 19, 2010 5537369 Section B (Tuesday) Taylor Hari Experiment 3 Polymers are great; they are used in everyday life, and sometimes just for fun. Whether polymers are used to make plastic in which you use every day to wrap your food so they dont go bad, or to make slime to play around with you can be sure that youll always be able to find a way to make very good use of them. On top of these uses, polymers are actually used to make fibres for clothes. Personally my favourite polymers come from this idea. Those polymers are; cotton (about 91% cellulose 1 ) and polyesters. The reason these are my favourite is that you can use 100% cotton, or sometimes for a bit of a silky smooth feel of comfort 2 you can make a combination of cotton and polyester to make the greatest piece of clothing ever designed known as the wife-beater (professionals tend to call it A-Shirts). The wife-beater is a great use of the invention of polymers. Its very comfortable to wear when it is very warm wife-beater is a great use of the invention of polymers....
