Topic: o An introduction to the basic functions of the OPNET IT Guru Academic Edition. Objectives: o To become familiar with essential features and the basic operation of the software, while using the tutorial to create a network model and run a simulation to gauge the server’s and overall network’s performance measures, and then add a second floor to determine if the network will still function within acceptable parameters with the additional load. Implementation: o The model was implemented upon the premise of an expansion of an existing company’s star model intranet to include a second floor using the same star topology as the original network and to determine if the network can accommodate the additional load with an acceptable total delay. o The original network (see Figure 2 - 0) was modeled using the rapid configuration function and through use of the object palette to add nodes, and was based upon given parameters from the tutorial (see Figure 2 - 1).

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
