Math 311. Probability and Statistics I Welcome to Math 311 . This course is about: how to quantify randomness developing the basic analytic tools that will help you to make wise, non-random decision in situations lurked with randomness Instructor: Thomas P.-Y. Yu phone: 267-895-2066 email: [email protected] office: Korman 268 appointment There will be two midterm exams during class time and one final exam. Homework assignments are listed on the next page. They are due in class on every Wednesday . Some homework problems will be discussed in class. Selected homework problems will be graded and counted towards your final grade. You are expected to attend lectures, take notes and participate in class discussions. You are very welcomed to interrupt me anytime at lectures. Feel free to ask any question. It is always good to have interactions.
