Transnational mothering a. Women from Latin American countries left children to come to the U.S.  to find a job and thus money to provide food for their children b. The only means to “take care” of their children is by sending money;  gifts if enough cash; and phone calls b. The inability to leave the U.S. as pleased makes it difficult to physically  care of their children Why so prevalent a. Many poorer immigrant’s have had the husband or male-house hold
